In accordance with Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request the deletion of your InHook account and all associated personal data at any time.
1. How to request account deletion
Send an email to contact@ankhaw.com from the email address associated with your InHook account, with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
Your email may include (optional):
- Your InHook account identifier (visible in Settings β Profile)
- The reason for your request (optional β only to help us improve the service)
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 72 hours and complete the deletion within a maximum of 30 days from confirmation.
2. Data that will be deleted
Upon account deletion, the following data will be permanently erased:
- Your email address and all profile information (first name, last name)
- Your unique user identifier
- Your login and session history
- Your subscription status (Pro / Free)
- Your preferences (presets, customization settings, language)
- All data stored on your devices via the app will also be deleted upon uninstall
Uploaded photos
Photos you have uploaded via the app are already automatically deleted after processing. InHook does not retain any photo on its servers beyond the time strictly necessary for processing (AI rendering, retouching). No additional action is required for this data.
3. Data retained (legal obligations)
In accordance with French and European legal obligations, some data may be retained on a limited basis after account deletion:
- Billing data (amount, date, subscribed plan): retained for 10 years for accounting and tax obligations (Article L. 123-22 of the French Commercial Code). This data is anonymized with respect to your personal identity.
- Anonymized security logs (non-identifiable IP, timestamps): retained for a maximum of 90 days for fraud prevention.
- Contact data related to your deletion request: retained for 1 year to allow proof of compliance with your rights in case of dispute.
None of the retained data allows you to be identified or your user profile to be reconstructed.
4. Affected sub-processors
When you request deletion, we propagate your request to the categories of third-party sub-processors that hold a copy of your data:
- Authentication provider β deletion of account and authentication history
- Subscription management provider β deletion of user identifier and anonymization of transactions
- Technical observability provider β deletion of logs linked to your identifier
- Backend hosting provider β deletion of associated database entries
Apple App Store and Google Play Store transactions remain managed by their respective policies; we cannot delete them directly.

5. Cancelling your active subscription
β Important: if you have an active Pro subscription at the time of account deletion, your subscription is not automatically cancelled. You must cancel it separately:
- iOS: Settings β [your name] β Subscriptions β InHook β Cancel Subscription
- Android: Play Store β Profile β Payments and subscriptions β Subscriptions β InHook β Cancel
If you do not cancel before the end of the current period, the subscription will continue to be charged until its term.
6. Partial deletion without account deletion
If you only wish to delete part of your data without deleting your account (for example your usage history), contact us at contact@ankhaw.com specifying the data concerned. We will review your request on a case-by-case basis.
7. Your other GDPR rights
In addition to the right to erasure, you also have:
- The right of access to your data (Article 15)
- The right to rectification (Article 16)
- The right to portability (Article 20)
- The right to object (Article 21)

8. Complaint to the CNIL
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may file a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL): www.cnil.fr/en.
